A 39-year-old Volkswagen driver has been apprehended with 19 sets of electrical building tools from well-known brands, which he was selling at the market in Pleven without the permission of their owners.

During a check of a Volkswagen stopped near the market in Pleven, investigators discovered 19 sets of electrical building tools from leading brands. The car was being driven by a 39-year-old man who was offering them to customers in the trading zone. The goods are valued at approximately €10,000. The information comes from BTA.
Officers from the unit combating economic crime at the regional police department conducted the inspection. A protocol for voluntary surrender of the items has been drawn up. A duty prosecutor from the District Prosecutor's Office in the city has been notified, and pre-trial proceedings are underway under the Criminal Code.
The vehicle check has been documented under the Interior Ministry Act. An investigating officer is continuing work to determine the origin of the tools.
In recent months, there have been a series of similar operations in the region. Early June brought the seizure of 586 counterfeit goods imitating popular brands. In May, a clothing shop was sanctioned for 44 items bearing foreign logos. At the end of March, 62 products were taken from an object in Cherven Bryag, and around the same time in Pleven, 20 pairs of shoes worth approximately €2,600 were also confiscated.
