Officers from the District Police Directorate in Pomorie have detained a 26-year-old driver who attempted to bribe law enforcement during a road check. The incident occurred tonight whilst travelling on the route from Burgas to Pomorie, according to BNR News.

During testing for alcohol and narcotic substances, the man's second sample tested positive for cocaine use. During the check, the driver attempted to give police officers two 50-euro notes in order to avoid being penalised.

He was detained on the spot. Two summary proceedings have been initiated against him – one for driving a motor vehicle after narcotic drug use, and the other for offering a bribe to a state authority.
