A 29-year-old man with over 2‰ alcohol in his breath has bitten a police officer's hand who came to investigate a crash near Troyan.

On 9 August at around 20:30, a light vehicle left the road and fell into a ditch in the Troyan area. Police officers from the local district police station arrived at the scene. During the subsequent inspection, the 29-year-old driver offered physical resistance, striking and biting the hand of one of the law enforcement officers.
A technical inspection showed the presence of 2.48 parts per thousand alcohol in the air breathed by the man. He was detained immediately. The local police in Troyan are investigating the case.
