FICCO/AC launches Operation Evasion against interstate trafficking and money laundering in Acre

The Integrated Force to Combat Organised Crime in Acre (FICCO/AC) launched Operation Evasion on Thursday (29 October) to dismantle a criminal organisation under investigation for interstate drug trafficking and money laundering, according to gov.br.

A total of 6 preventive arrest warrants and 12 search-and-seizure warrants were executed in Rio Branco (AC), Florianópolis (SC), Curitiba (PR) and Cuiabá (MT). During the operations, two arrest on sight reports were registered. The court orders originated from the Criminal Organisations Crimes Court of the Court of Justice of Acre.

The court also ordered the blocking of financial assets, the unavailability of property and the seizure of real estate and vehicles linked to those under investigation. The assets targeted include properties in Acre and Paraíba, vehicles and funds held in bank accounts.

The investigation began in 2021, following the seizure of approximately 61 kg of cocaine paste concealed in a trailer. The investigations revealed a structured group operating to acquire, transport and distribute narcotics across different states, as well as to conceal illegally-obtained resources.

Those under investigation showed financial transactions incompatible with their economic capacity, according to authorities. The asset measures are intended to deprive the group of capital and halt illegal activities.

Those involved may face charges of criminal organisation, drug trafficking and money laundering.

FICCO/AC brings together the Federal Police, the Civil Police, the Military Police, the Prison Police and the State Department of Justice and Public Security of Acre.
