Curaçao police arrested three ground handling company Swissport employees on Wednesday at the airport on the island, reports luchtvaartnieuws.nl. The men are suspected of theft aboard an aircraft.
The suspects allegedly boarded the aircraft and removed goods from it. Police had harboured suspicions for some time about theft during the handling of aircraft.
Officers waited for the three and intervened as soon as they left the aircraft. Objects believed to be stolen property were found on them. The three remain in custody pending further investigation.
