Boy (17) and man (33) arrested after shots fired at gym on Curaçao
Police arrested a minor and an adult after shots were fired at a fitness centre on F.D. Rooseveltweg. A firearm was found in their vehicle.
Boy (17) and man (33) arrested after shots fired at gym on Curaçao
Early on Monday morning, officers on Curaçao arrested two people: a boy of 17 and a man of 33. Police went to a sports school on F.D. Rooseveltweg after people in the neighbourhood complained about loud noise.
When officers arrived there, they discovered that shots had been fired shortly before. A window of a building in the area and a car had suffered bullet impacts.
Police examined a vehicle parked at the sports school. Inside it they found a firearm, which was seized. The two persons who were in the car were then arrested. They are suspected of violating firearms regulations.
Both detainees are currently in custody. Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
