Two missing youths escape from JJIC

Two 17-year-old boys have been missing since early April on Curaçao, according to curacao.nu. Both left the Justitiële Jeugdinrichting Curaçao (JJIC) and did not return to the facility.

Lourdine Gaurin left on Tuesday, 8 April from the JJIC to carry out work experience but has not been seen since. He is approximately 1.63 metres tall, has natural hair, an oval face and dark skin.

Darion Francisca was last spotted a day earlier, on Monday, 7 April, when leaving the Justitiële Inrichting Curaçao (JIC). He is approximately 1.80 metres tall and also has natural hair, an oval face and dark skin.

Police are calling on the public to keep an eye out for both youths. Anyone with information about their whereabouts can contact the police via emergency number 917 or anonymously via 108. Police point out that it is a criminal offence to harbour someone who is being sought by the justice authorities.
