Teplice police have solved a series of ten vehicle break-ins from September. A 47-year-old repeat offender from Krupka has been charged.

Series of car break-ins in central Teplice solved after three weeks
Police.gov.cz reports that Teplice police officers received a total of ten reports of vehicle break-ins in the city centre during September. Six of these incidents occurred on a single street.
In each case, the unknown perpetrator broke or damaged a car window. In most cases, he stole everything he found inside — a notebook, tools, a navigation system or a snack box. In several instances he apparently was interrupted, as he left without any stolen goods, leaving only a damaged vehicle.
Evaluation of traces at the crime scene and police investigation led, after three weeks, to the charging of a 47-year-old man from Krupka. He is a known repeat offender who has spent part of his life behind bars. He now faces up to two years in prison for theft and damage to another's property.
