Police in the Žďár region detained four individuals suspected of theft and robbery, whose victims were primarily elderly women during shopping in stores. The group of offenders attacked older women directly while shopping, attempting to seize their handbags and personal belongings.
According to information published by the server Žďárský deník, gang members targeted vulnerable victims in shopping centres and supermarkets. During their activities, they exploited the inattentiveness of elderly people and robbed them at the moment when they were focused on selecting goods.
After detaining the four suspects, police initiated criminal proceedings against them. The case highlights the need for increased caution, particularly among older citizens, when shopping in shopping centres.
