Attack on Berlin CSD Parade
On Saturday evening, the parade for Christopher Street Day in Berlin was ended prematurely following an attack. A 21-year-old suspect, who according to police maintains connections to Islamist extremists, drove a vehicle into the spectator crowd. One person died in the attack and 29 others were injured. Investigators are still searching for the perpetrator. At the same time, a debate erupted over responsibility for the incident and a possible revision of the security concept for such events.
