A DHL cargo aircraft that took off from Leipzig/Halle airport collided with an unknown object after taking off and had to make an emergency landing. Security forces found a drone at the airport with an igniter attached to it.
The airfield, which is predominantly used for cargo operations, suspended operations overnight until Wednesday after a flying object was observed in the vicinity and another object was found near the runway, according to police.
