Following a devastating explosion in Görlitz that killed three people, police are searching for a 27-year-old Afghan man. Surveillance cameras captured him fleeing the scene on a bicycle.

An explosion in mid-May caused a residential building to collapse in Görlitz and claimed the lives of three people. Police are now searching intensively for a 27-year-old Afghan man believed to be responsible for the incident.
Surveillance camera footage from the Saxon border city shows the suspect, named Zolmai K., fleeing the scene of the disaster on a bicycle. The route apparently led towards Poland. Another man is also said to have been involved in the explosion.
As the alleged perpetrator cycled away, rescue workers searched with their bare hands through the rubble of the collapsed building for survivors. Investigators believe the man triggered the devastating detonation while stealing metals from the house.
