Major raid in Lower Saxony: Two arrests in cocaine smuggling
More than a hundred officers simultaneously searched 14 flats and business premises across various districts in Lower Saxony. During the operation, officers arrested two men, who are now in custody. The charge: dealing in substantial quantities of cocaine.
The raid extended across several regions. The areas affected were Stade, Zeven, Lehrte, the Lüchow-Dannenberg district, Hechthausen and Hammah. During the searches, officers found not only drugs but also cash and gold jewellery. The arrested suspects are aged 21 and 35.
The investigation has been ongoing since autumn 2025. Investigators are looking at four men in total, aged between 21 and 44, from various districts in Lower Saxony. According to the authorities, the accused are said to have sold at least 34 kilogrammes of cocaine – equivalent to approximately four kilogrammes monthly turnover. The alleged ringleader is said to have controlled the operation whilst serving a prison sentence for previous drug offences in an open prison.
