A 50-year-old man attacked and slightly injured three officers at Munich Central Station as they attempted to detain him.

Three emergency personnel were slightly injured on Wednesday at Munich Central Station during an arrest. A 50-year-old homeless man had been in the railway station mission despite being prohibited from entering the premises.
At approximately 1.30 p.m., staff at the facility alerted police after the man behaved threateningly towards personnel. A patrol unit of federal and state police officers arrived shortly thereafter. The suspect had previously been barred from staying in the entire railway station area on multiple occasions.
When the police officers attempted to take the man into custody, he resisted violently. He struck at the officers and attempted to spit on them. The emergency personnel used force as necessary to control the situation. All three police officers were able to continue their duties.
The 50-year-old now faces charges including assault and resisting police officers. An examiner found no psychological impairments that would preclude criminal prosecution.
