In the Munich district of Hadern, a conflict over alleged improper parking spiralled out of control on Friday. The deployment of more than ten police units was necessary to defuse the situation.
The incident occurred shortly after 14.30 on Friday in front of a multi-family house. A 56-year-old tenant had confronted a 26-year-old driver because, in his view, the latter had parked his car in violation of regulations. The verbal exchange quickly escalated: both threatened each other, saying they would shoot each other in the head.
During the heated phase of the incident, the older of the two antagonists produced an air pistol and held it aloft. A brief scuffle ensued before the alerted officers intervened and resolved the altercation.
During the subsequent house search of the 56-year-old, police officers discovered further firearms. The relevant authorities are now investigating whether weapons legislation was breached. Both parties involved – the 56-year-old and the 26-year-old – were reported for threatening behaviour.
