A vehicle drove into the crowd at the Christopher Street Day parade in Berlin on Saturday evening. At least one person was killed and 29 others were injured. The police announced on Sunday, 26 July, on X that the suspected attacker had been shot by officers.
The suspect was located in the Spandau district around 6 p.m., according to the authorities. He allegedly ran towards the emergency personnel with a bladed weapon. The police opened fire. Despite immediate resuscitation attempts by the Berlin fire service, the man died at the scene.
