Police arrested the suspected perpetrator: a 16-year-old teenager. The school affected has approximately 800 pupils. According to investigators' assessment, the teenager acted alone and was carrying a pistol and a knife, both of which have been confiscated.
"We are currently assuming that the perpetrator acted alone. There are no indications of further accomplices," explained the Upper Bavarian police.
The arrested individual had previously received treatment for psychological problems. According to the Bild newspaper, the teenager holds Croatian citizenship and lives with his parents.
