On Saturday evening, three heavily intoxicated men became involved in an altercation in the Upper Bavarian town and engaged in a physical scuffle. The confrontation took place near the Isar.

The combatants, aged 20, 39 and 43, all sustained minor injuries. Officers suspect that excessive alcohol consumption was the trigger. Tests revealed significant intoxication levels of between 1.5 and four per mille in all three participants.

The oldest of the three men behaved particularly aggressively towards the officers. When the officers attempted to detain him so he could sleep off his intoxication in a cell, he refused to cooperate. Instead, he challenged the officers to fight, insulted them and threatened them. During the arrest, the 43-year-old injured two police officers.

The man is now under investigation for assault, resisting enforcement officers by force, threatening behaviour and insulting language.
