Mid and West Jutland Police are seeking the 43-year-old Dennis Gaardsvig Hansen in connection with a killing committed on Monday evening in Hammerum, a town located between Herning and Ikast. This is reported by B.T.

Police responded to a report of a knife stabbing at an address, where a 57-year-old man was subsequently pronounced dead.

Vice Police Inspector Jim Hansen, head of the department for violent crime in Mid and West Jutland Police, told Ritzau that the suspicion has been built on the basis of witness statements and other investigative measures.

"They know each other from the drug abuse environment," Jim Hansen said regarding the relationship between the alleged perpetrator and the victim.

Call to turn himself in

Police have released three photographs of Dennis Gaardsvig Hansen via Politi Update and are calling on him to come forward.

"We are seeking him and calling on him to turn himself in. We are also seeking others who may know where he is staying," Jim Hansen said.

The wanted man may be in the Herning area, but police do not rule out that he could be in other locations.

Description

Dennis Gaardsvig Hansen is described as a thin man of 183 cm. He is 43 years old but may appear older according to police. He has short hair and a long dark beard that hangs 10-15 centimetres below his chin.

He has a wound or scar on his neck from a recent injury, and tattooed letters – "D" and "F" – below his left ear. He may be wearing a grey jacket and a sixpence hat.
