Explosion at apartment block in Greve under investigation

At 03.24 on the night into Saturday, police received a report of an explosion outside an entrance in Greve, according to duty officer Boye Rasmussen from the Mid- and West Zealand Police, as reported to Ritzau – which TV 2 Nyheder references.

According to Rasmussen, the entire entrance to the apartment block at the junction of Grøftehuset and Dalhuset streets has been blown to pieces. No persons have been injured.

According to the duty officer, the perpetrator or perpetrators may have used a chrysanthemum bomb. Police have cordoned off the area surrounding the building and have examined the scene with dog patrols.

Mid- and West Zealand Police have furthermore received assistance from the National Forensic Technical Centre (NKC) and the Defence Ammunition Disposal Service (EOD).

"There are various external experts present," says Boye Rasmussen.

Police have previously experienced similar incidents in the area, but the duty officer has no suspicion as to who may be behind Saturday's explosion.
