Dog found cannabis in car following raid on school in Roskilde
On Thursday, Mid- and West Zealand Police attended an educational institution in Roskilde with drug dog Tjald-Fe – and ended up finding a lump of cannabis weighing 18.7 grams in a student's car. This emerges from the police's 24-hour report, which B.T. refers to.
The dog searched classrooms and other rooms at the location without reacting initially. It was instead seven young men who caught Tjald-Fe's attention.
The police had a conversation with the seven. None of them had illegal drugs on them. However, six of them admitted that they had previously either carried cannabis themselves or had been in the company of someone who had.
The seventh man stood out: he was in possession of what the police describe as "cannabis smoking paraphernalia", and he also had a car key on him. During a search of the vehicle, police officers found a lump of cannabis, which was subsequently weighed at 18.7 grams.
The man, a 19-year-old from Hedehusene, was charged on the spot for breach of the law on intoxicating substances. According to police, the case is expected to result in a fine.
The police did not disclose to Ritzau which educational institution is in question.
