"El Sape" arrested for attempted murder shooting in Santiago

The National Police arrested Starlyn Daniel Marte Parra, alias "El Sape", 22 years old, required by judicial order for his alleged participation in an attempted murder incident recorded in the La Yagüita del Pastor sector, in Santiago, according to elnuevodiario.com.do.
The incident occurred on 24 August 2026 in front of a commercial establishment located on street 02 of the said sector. According to the complaint, the incident was triggered following an argument, during which the accused allegedly fired multiple shots at the victim's vehicle, who managed to flee the scene.
The arrest was carried out by agents from the Regional Cyber Investigation Subdirectorate Cibao Central, in compliance with judicial order number 2026-AJ0077022-02. At the time of arrest, Marte Parra was listed as a fugitive from justice in the Police System.
The authorities indicated that the detainee will be placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry for corresponding legal proceedings.
