An aircraft carrying a 45-year-old man of Ukrainian nationality landed in Madrid. German authorities handed him over to Spain as part of an extradition procedure. The suspect is implicated in the homicide of Andriy Portnov, who served as an adviser to former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych.

Spanish police confirmed the arrival of the extradited individual. The case was initially reported by news agency EFE.

The victim, Andriy Portnov, held a prominent position during Yanukovych's term in office in Ukraine. The crime for which the man handed over is being investigated was committed on Spanish territory.
