National Police detained a passenger at El Prat airport in Barcelona who had arrived from Mexico City and was carrying 31 kilos of cocaine distributed inside two suitcases, according to abc.es.
The flight on which the detained passenger was travelling was classified in police terminology as a "hot flight", a term applied to routes with a higher probability of detecting travellers carrying narcotics in their luggage.
National Police released images of the detention.
