Man arrested in Riglos bar after taking baby daughter from Valencia
A 37-year-old man, living in a town in Teruel province, was arrested at a food establishment in the municipality of Riglos. He is accused of taking his own daughter—an 11-month-old baby—and harassment against the mother.
The case originated in Sagunto, where the suspect's former partner filed a complaint on 26 June. According to her account, the man had left the coastal town with the baby in his arms and without her permission. The complaint also included accusations of abuse.
The investigation was handled by specialists from the Judicial Police Brigade in Huesca. After tracing the whereabouts of the man involved, officers located him on 1 July at a hospitality business in the said Prepirineo town, where he was with the infant.
Subsequently, both were taken to the capital's police station in Huesca. The mother, resident in Sagunto, travelled there to recover her daughter. The arrested man, with no previous criminal record, was handed over to the judicial authorities following completion of the police procedures.
