Woman arrested in Logroño after stealing gold chain using 'amorous theft' technique
The National Police have arrested a woman in her thirties in Logroño as the suspected perpetrator of an 'amorous theft', according to larioja.com. The detainee has an extensive police record and has been placed at the disposal of the courts over a suspected theft offence and another of sexual assault.
The victim, a man who was shopping, was approached by the woman, who started a conversation and made repeated sexual propositions, attempting to kiss him. The man rejected her advances at every turn.
Despite this, the woman followed him to his home and slipped into the building entrance taking advantage of the door not having closed properly. Once inside the building, she resumed the harassment: she ignored the victim's repeated refusals, maintained intense physical contact and allegedly carried out touching of his genitals.
Faced with her insistence, the man became suspicious that she was trying to rob him. He verified that his wallet remained in his pocket, but immediately noticed that the gold chain he was wearing was missing. He then blocked the exit to prevent the woman from leaving the premises and called the police.
The suspected perpetrator attempted to flee by going up the stairs and later using the lift to go down, but officers intercepted her before she could leave the building. After verifying her involvement in the events and confirming her record, she was arrested and placed at the disposal of the courts.
