Arrested in Argales after security alarm activated

The National Police detained a man on 31 May in Valladolid as the alleged perpetrator of a burglary with force, according to tribunavalladolid.com. The suspect was found inside an industrial warehouse in the Argales Industrial Estate with items he could not prove were his own.

The operation began when a company's video surveillance system detected a person gaining irregular access to the premises and activated the security alarm. Several patrol units attended the location to inspect the area.

Hole in the fence and suspicious movements

During the inspection of the perimeter, officers observed movement in an adjacent warehouse and found a hole in the metal fence separating both properties. Upon noticing the police presence, the individual abandoned the facility carrying various items.

Among the material he was carrying were tools, emergency devices for vehicles, chargers and a torch. In the security search conducted on the suspect, officers also located gloves and cutting tools that allegedly would have been used to force entry.

The affected vehicle, with its interior disturbed

The Police inspected the interior of the company where the detainee had been found. One of the vehicles parked in the premises showed clear signs of having been searched: the interior was in disarray and several items were missing.

Subsequent enquiries made it possible to locate the car owner. The woman travelled to the location and identified several of the items seized from the suspect as her own, confirming that it was material she usually kept in the boot.

The person in charge of the warehouse where the irregular access occurred stated that the perimeter fence was in perfect condition before the incident and that the hole did not exist previously.

Detained and subsequently released

In light of the evidence gathered, the National Police proceeded to arrest the individual. Following the completion of the corresponding investigation procedures at police facilities, the detainee was brought before a judge. The judicial authority subsequently ordered his release, whilst the investigation continues to clarify all details of the incident.
