According to Google News ES — Crime, the Civil Guard arrested a man in Fondón (Almería) accused of attempting to commit burglaries at two properties in the town, which he allegedly attempted to access through their courtyards.
In the first attempt, the suspect allegedly entered the courtyard of a building and forced protective grilles to try to gain access to the interior, without success. Later that same day, he allegedly accessed the shared courtyard of several properties in the same municipality and attempted to break into one of the buildings.
The neighbours' reaction proved, according to sources, "decisive": several of them caught the individual as he was about to enter and managed to detain him. After calling 062, they waited until the officers arrived, who proceeded with his arrest.
The officers verified that the detainee had numerous previous convictions for crimes against property and other criminal offences. Additionally, he had an active judicial prohibition on leaving the national territory.
The arrested man was placed at the disposal of the Civil and Investigating Section of the Court of First Instance in Berja.
