Jerez Local Police arrested a man as the alleged perpetrator of a robbery with violence after officers on patrol surveillance caught him struggling with a minor on La Serrana avenue, according to jerez.es. The young woman was calling for help at the moment officers intervened.
The detainee managed to tear off one of the handbag's handles with a sharp pull whilst exerting pressure with his other hand on the victim's right hand. The minor told officers that the individual had followed her from Mosto avenue, accosting her and attempting to grab her, until he managed to overpower her. It was at that moment that police intervened. The victim's friend was with her and also witnessed the events.
Officers immediately descended from the police vehicle, restrained the subject and transported him to police headquarters, where he was registered as the alleged perpetrator of the robbery with violence.

In a separate intervention, Local Police arrested a young man who was circulating on a central street with a moped in an irregular manner and who was found to lack a driving licence, for alleged offence against Road Safety. Likewise, an administrative complaint was filed for testing positive for alcohol in a breath test conducted in the vicinity of the bullring.
