Another suspected member of drug-trafficking gang arrested in Palencia
National Police officers have arrested a man in Palencia as a suspected member of a criminal network engaged in the illegal drugs trade. The arrest took place on 1 July, according to confirmation from the Government's Delegation in the province. The individual is accused of the suspected offences of distributing narcotic substances and being part of a criminal association.
The arrest is part of a broader investigation that on 11 June led to a large-scale operation in the El Carmen neighbourhood. During that intervention, officers conducted searches at several properties in the Grupo Casas del Hogar area and arrested several suspected members. According to the investigation, the gang operated in an organised manner buying, transporting, storing, preparing and selling narcotic substances, particularly cocaine and cannabis.
Following the conclusion of the June operation, investigators continued their work and managed to identify this new suspected person involved in the illegal activities carried out by the group. The case remains open and further action has not been ruled out.
