A man was arrested last night in Pamplona for sexually assaulting a woman, attacking a friend who came to her aid, and fracturing a police officer's jaw.

Pamplona Municipal Police arrested a man last night in the El Bosquecillo area as the suspected perpetrator of a sexual assault on a woman. According to noticiasdenavarra.com, the detainee also attacked a friend of the victim who attempted to help her, provoked a fight with other people in the vicinity, and attacked agents as they were getting out of the police vehicle.
During the struggle with the agents, one of the police officers suffered a fracture of the jaw at several points and was immediately taken to the Universitary Hospital of Navarre (HUN). The detainee was accused of sexual assault, injuries, and assault on an authority officer.
A weekend with 315 interventions and 12 arrests
The incident occurred during a weekend of intense police activity in the Navarrese capital. Municipal Police recorded a total of 315 interventions, among which 48 calls for noise complaints stood out, 37 related to coexistence problems, and 41 actions involving people in situations of need.
In the criminal sphere, the Citizen Care Office received 47 complaints and 12 arrests were made for offences including breach of restraining orders, domestic and partner abuse, robbery with intimidation, threats, offences against public health, and disobedience.
On Friday, two men were arrested for breaching restraining orders. On Saturday, three people were arrested for their alleged involvement in serious threats and robbery with intimidation; that same day two other people were arrested for domestic abuse and a minor under 16 years of age was arrested as the suspected perpetrator of an offence against public health.
Early on Monday morning, a man was arrested on Calle Monasterio de Belate for allegedly attacking his ex-partner in a public place. The victim had minor facial injuries and received medical assistance.
Several traffic accidents, two drivers with positive blood alcohol levels
In road safety matters, Municipal Police attended to 16 traffic accidents, several of them involving injured persons. Among the cases recorded, a 50-year-old cyclist who suffered an accident tested positive in the breath test with a reading of 0.84 milligrammes per litre of exhaled air.
During Sunday afternoon, a female driver was intercepted at Plaza Juan XXIII following a report from a citizen alerting them that she might be under the influence of alcohol. The preliminary test came back positive and she was taken to police headquarters for the evidential tests.
