The escape occurred in December, when the inmate took advantage of a prison licence to fail to return to the detention centre. During the time he remained at large, the subject employed evasion tactics including frequent changes of residence and maintaining minimal contact with relatives living in Andalusian territory.
The Mossos d'Esquadra initially traced the movements of the fugitive. Subsequently, National Police officers in Seville pinpointed his location and executed the arrest. The arrestee was brought before the courts, which ordered his immediate return to prison.
