The Guardia Civil arrested a man in a bar in Tordesillas after receiving alerts that he was carrying a firearm. He is also facing charges related to shots fired on 21 July.

The Guardia Civil in Valladolid detained a man in Tordesillas over the weekend for the criminal offence of unlawful possession of weapons, according to cadenaser.com. The detainee was located inside a bar in the town following several calls from members of the public alerting authorities that a person was walking down the street with a short firearm in his hand.
The officers established a search and identification operation and found the individual in the establishment. During an external search of his clothing, they found a revolver with seven cartridges hidden in his trousers, with the weapon in conditions to fire. The detainee did not have the required weapons licence.
In addition to the offence of unlawful possession, the same individual was identified as the perpetrator of the shots recorded also in Tordesillas on 21 July, and was therefore also charged with the offence of serious threats with a firearm.
The weapon was sent to the Guardia Civil's Forensic Service to identify its owner and to compare the evidence from the July incident with the seized weapon, in order to determine whether they match.
The proceedings conducted were submitted, together with the detainee, to the First Instance Court of Valladolid acting as emergency duty court.
