The Civil Guard has arrested a 52-year-old Ecuadorian man as the alleged perpetrator of a stabbing that occurred on 12 July in a home in Ciempozuelos, according to elmundo.es. The victim, aged 32, sustained knife wounds to the thigh and buttock that caused him cardiorespiratory arrest.

The incident originated following a dispute between two Ecuadorian nationals who were inside the victim's home. The alleged attacker stabbed the other man and left the scene before officers arrived.

Upon accessing the home, Civil Guard officers found the victim lying on the bathroom floor, showing no signs of life and surrounded by large quantities of blood. Immediately, Civil Guard, Local Police and Civil Protection personnel began cardiopulmonary resuscitation manoeuvres, which they continued for several minutes until they managed to restore the casualty's vital signs and prevent his death.

Once stabilised, he was transferred to a hospital, where he was admitted with a serious prognosis.

The subsequent investigation allowed the alleged attacker to be identified and located, and he was arrested and brought before the judicial authorities. The judicial authority has ordered precautionary measures prohibiting him from approaching the victim's home.
