Two arrested in Trujillo for selling drugs to minors and sexual assault

The Guardia Civil dismantled a drug distribution point in a residence in the Trujillo area (Cáceres) where drugs were being supplied to minors, according to lavanguardia.com. The operation resulted in two arrests and the discovery of an alleged sexual assault committed against a minor at the same property.
The investigation began after receiving information about possible drug sales at the residence and substance use by minors inside. Officers gathered evidence confirming that the property was regularly used for this purpose, with the aggravating factor that a large portion of the users were minors who were being facilitated in both consuming and acquiring drugs.
In parallel, investigators became aware of an alleged sexual assault crime committed against a minor at the same residence. This led to the identification and arrest of the alleged perpetrator, an individual who frequented the property.
On 6 August, the Guardia Civil conducted a search of the residence during which slightly more than 1,000 doses of ketamine, 14 grammes of hashish and various implements for weighing, cutting and distributing drugs were seized. A marijuana plantation was also found in the interior patio of the property, with the plants being confiscated.
As a result of the operation, one person was arrested for an alleged crime against public health in the form of drug trafficking—aggravated by the fact that the substances are seriously harmful to health—and for a crime against the sexual liberty of minors. The second person was arrested for alleged involvement in the sexual assault crime.
Both detainees were placed at the disposal of the Civil and Investigative Section of the Court of First Instance–Plaza nº 1 of Trujillo, as well as the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Provincial Court of Cáceres.
The operation was carried out jointly by the Judicial Police Team and the ROCA Team of Trujillo, together with officers from the Public Safety unit of the Guardia Civil Company of Trujillo and the Organic Unit of Judicial Police of Cáceres.
