The Civil Guard has dismantled a drug distribution point in Villanueva de Gállego (Zaragoza) and arrested a 43-year-old man of Portuguese nationality as the alleged perpetrator of an offence against public health, according to information provided by cadenaser.com citing the Zaragoza Command.
The investigation began following indicators that a property might be being used for the distribution of illegal substances in that locality. After gathering sufficient evidence, officers conducted a search of the property during the early hours of Wednesday.
Inside the property, officers located several tools for the manufacture and preparation of drugs, as well as 1,835 euros in cash distributed between a safe and a money belt concealed behind a television. They also found a container with traces of cutting substance used for adulterating narcotics and relevant documentation linked to the distribution activity carried out by the occupant of the property.
The arrested individual was placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities during Thursday afternoon. With this operation, the Civil Guard has dismantled a retail drug distribution point in Villanueva de Gállego.
