45-year-old woman killed with bladed weapon by partner in Mairena del Aljarafe, Seville
A 45-year-old woman was stabbed to death by her partner in the Los Alcores neighbourhood of Mairena del Aljarafe. Neither was registered on the VioGen system nor were there any previous complaints.

Google News ES — Crime (es) reports that officers from the security forces and law enforcement agencies were dispatched to a residence in the Los Alcores neighbourhood in Mairena del Aljarafe (Seville) following a report of a possible case of gender-based violence. Upon arrival, they found a 45-year-old woman with injuries from a bladed weapon. Medical personnel were unable to help her and certified her death at the scene.
The alleged perpetrator, her partner, had self-inflicted injuries and was transported to a hospital in Seville.
The Government sub-delegate in Seville, Francisco Toscano, pointed out that neither the victim nor the alleged perpetrator were registered in the VioGen system, the state registry for monitoring cases of gender-based violence, and that there were also no previous complaints between the two.
The Mairena del Aljarafe town council expressed in a statement its "profound distress at what has occurred" and conveyed its "support for the victim's relatives and friends during this moment of particular difficulty". The mayor called on citizens to "in the face of any sign of violence, turn to assistance channels and to the security forces and law enforcement", and urged the public to avoid sharing unverified information or speculation that could interfere with the ongoing investigation.
With this case, six women are believed to have lost their lives at the hands of their partners or former partners in Andalusia since the start of the year. The previous incident was recorded in the Malaga neighbourhood of Palma Palmilla, where Vicky, 51 years old, was found dead with gunshot wounds. Her partner, Francisco, 56 years old, is believed to have taken his own life afterwards.
