Local Police in Guía recover stolen vehicle from April and detain one occupant
The Local Police of Santa María de Guía intercepted a motorcar on Tuesday, 2 June that had been stolen months earlier and detained one of its three occupants on judicial order.

The Local Police of Santa María de Guía recovered on Tuesday, 2 June a motorcar that had been reported as stolen since April, according to santamariadeguia.es. The interception took place in the vicinity of El Albercón de la Virgen, where officers identified the vehicle and its three occupants.
A check of police databases confirmed that the motorcar was listed as stolen. Following these checks, officers opened an investigation against one of the occupants for his alleged involvement in the theft of the car.
A second occupant was detained upon verification that he was the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant issued by a judicial authority. He was taken to the Civil Guard barracks for continuation of the corresponding proceedings.
Once procedures were concluded, the vehicle was returned to its owner, with the handover documented through the relevant police proceedings.
The Local Police of Santa María de Guía emphasised that it maintains permanent coordination with the other law enforcement forces and bodies with the aim of guaranteeing citizen security and coexistence in the municipality.
