Six arrested in Torrejón de Ardoz in a series of anti-drug operations
The Local Police force of Torrejón de Ardoz has arrested six people on suspicion of offences related to drug trafficking during recent months, according to ayto-torrejon.es. The interventions have resulted in the seizure of various quantities of narcotic substances under different circumstances.
In one case, officers arrested a man following a pursuit that took place first by vehicle and then on foot, on suspicion of possession of narcotics. In another security operation, a young man was apprehended who was carrying approximately six grammes of drugs and a sum of money whose origin he could not justify, which raised suspicions of illicit activity.
A woman was arrested after officers established that she was carrying several banknotes and around five grammes of hashish, and that she had attempted to sell the substance to the driver of a vehicle with whom she had agreed to exchange it. For his part, a man was arrested on suspicion of an offence against public health after ketamine, MDMA, LSD and ecstasy were found on him in quantities exceeding those considered for personal use.
Another of those arrested was found in possession of marijuana, cocaine and other drugs with a total weight of 265 grammes. In an additional intervention, officers arrested a man from whom around five grammes of drugs were seized after observing him conducting an exchange of substances for cash in a park.
Citizen collaboration also proved decisive in one of the operations. Following a call from a neighbour, officers attended a hospitality establishment where an individual, upon noticing the police presence, threw to the ground a ball of aluminium foil which was found to contain cocaine. Another of those present was found with a magazine loader inside which he was hiding five packages of the same substance.
Finally, a joint operation with the Local Police's Canine Unit enabled the seizure of a substance which, following the corresponding analysis, proved to be marijuana of the variety known as "purple".
