A man was placed in preventative custody at a penitentiary after being apprehended in Santiago de Compostela, accused of attempting to kill another person. The violent incident occurred on the previous Sunday near the Sarela riverbed.
According to statements made to Onda Cero by law enforcement representatives, the detainee initiated a dispute with the other man, who at the time was walking with his pet in the riverside area. Following the verbal altercation, the aggressor allegedly threw a stone at his opponent's head.
The attack caused severe bodily injuries to the victim, who remains under treatment at a medical facility. Following investigations carried out, security agents apprehended the alleged perpetrator on suspicion of attempted murder.
