The Provincial Court of Palma is holding the trial these days of three individuals to whom the Public Prosecutor's Office attributes the establishment of a network dedicated to introducing illegal substances into Mallorca from mainland territory. The sentences sought range between five and nine years in prison, accompanied by financial penalties exceeding three million euros.
The facts being investigated took place between 2024 and 2025. Two of the accused are alleged to have acted as suppliers, acquiring narcotics in different areas of southern and eastern Spain, especially in Andalusia and Catalonia, and subsequently delivering them to the island. The third defendant would perform the role of retail seller in Mallorcan territory.
According to the prosecution's brief, one of the defendants supplied more than eighty kilograms of hashish resin to a person already sanctioned for these same offences. Likewise, in April 2025, another of the accused is alleged to have used the services of a parcel company to send five kilograms of cocaine from Catalonia to the Balearic capital.
In a search carried out at the home of one of the presumed members of the organisation, investigators found quantities of cannabis, cash, a notebook with notes and three mobile devices.
The Public Prosecutor's Office classifies the three accused as perpetrators of offences against public health. It seeks a sentence of five years for the distributor on the island, and of eight and nine years respectively for those responsible for supply and transport.
