Six years after the death of Medhi Petit, the Calvados assize court has ruled on this criminal case. Judgment was pronounced on 19 June 2026, closing a hearing that had taken place over three consecutive days.
The main accused, a woman, was found responsible for the death by firearm that occurred in Trouville-sur-Mer. She has been sentenced to twenty years of criminal imprisonment. This sentence exceeds the submissions made the previous day by the public prosecutor, who had called for a sentence of fifteen years' imprisonment.
