Incitement to violence: influencer arrested

Manon Delcourt, a content creator with 147,000 followers on Instagram and 190,000 on TikTok, was arrested on Thursday 22 October at Orly airport, according to the Paris prosecutor's office. She is suspected of publishing several messages in September and October inciting violence during secondary school demonstrations.

The prosecutor's office confirmed on Tuesday 27 October to BFMTV that the accused was questioned during a 26-hour custody period on charges of incitement to commit a crime or offence, as well as threats of death and threats of harm to property against persons exercising public authority.

Placed under judicial supervision, Delcourt is prohibited from participating in public demonstrations and barred from accessing her X account. She has been summoned for a hearing scheduled for May 2027. In a message published on Sunday 25 October, she recounted spending an additional night at court following her custody period, describing this experience as the "48 most sordid hours" of her life.

During October, Delcourt had notably written that the destruction of shop windows and rubbish bins was negligible, and expressed the hope that these acts were "only the beginning of a France on fire and in blood". The direct link between these publications and her arrest remains to be precisely established.
