The twenty-nine-year-old player faces accusations from a twenty-four-year-old woman he met on Instagram. According to her account, she was sexually assaulted at the athlete's home in 2023. The precise date of the trial has not yet been set.
Hakimi has categorically denied any wrongdoing from the start. On social media, the captain of the Moroccan national team stated that he had been looking forward to the trial since day one. "I am pleased to finally be able to speak," he wrote.
The player has worn Paris Saint-Germain colours since 2021. With the Paris club, he has won five league titles and two Champions League trophies. He is currently participating in the World Cup in the United States with Morocco's team, which drew 1-1 against Brazil.
