The Versailles appellate court confirmed on Friday 19 June 2026 the committal of Achraf Hakimi before the assize court of Hauts-de-Seine. The charge concerns rape, according to information from France 24.
The player, who plays as a defender and is captain of the Moroccan national team, responded to this judicial decision. He declared that he was looking forward to his trial, emphasising that he could finally speak freely on this matter.
The lawyer for the alleged victim also made a statement. She informed that her client felt relief and hope following this confirmation of committal before the criminal court.
The case will therefore be examined by the assize court with jurisdiction for the department of Hauts-de-Seine, located in Nanterre.
