A 39-year-old man was tried in Lyon for administering drugs to his former partner and committing multiple sexual assaults on her. The court handed down a sentence of fifteen years' imprisonment.

The Lyon Criminal Court imposed a fifteen-year prison sentence on a former security guard aged 39. He was tried for making his former partner consume medication in order to sexually abuse her.
At the second hearing, the defendant finally admitted the facts. He acknowledged before the judges having administered tablets to the victim on several occasions. He also confessed to the existence of films showing penetration with an object on an unconscious woman, as well as ejaculations on her body.
The plaintiff's representative, however, contested the defendant's mitigated version of events. According to her, toxicological analysis of the victim's hair demonstrated regular and prolonged consumption of these substances. Additional sequences shown during the trial revealed other degrading acts committed on a defenceless person.
A psychology specialist, heard as an expert witness, discussed post-traumatic stress disorder developed by the victim. She would now be frightened at the thought of beginning a new romantic relationship. The public prosecutor's representative called for twelve years' imprisonment with enhanced supervision of six years, comparing the defendant to a "disciple" of Dominique Pelicot.
The civil party's lawyer denounced the "psychological torture" suffered by the victim, describing her client as a dehumanised sexual object. The defence argued that the man was "at the bottom of the abyss", requesting a sentence lower than the prosecution's recommendations. The jury ultimately opted for a fifteen-year sentence.
