According to lechorepublicain.fr, Nancy, 58, a resident of Charente-Maritime, spoke yesterday from the bar of the Versailles assize court to accuse her own mother, Marie-Thérèse Garcia, of the murder of Corinne Di Dio, committed in 1995.
"I do not have a conflict with my mother, but I gathered several elements from my memories that led me to report her to the police concerning the murder of Corinne Di Dio," Nancy declared before the court.
Marie-Thérèse Garcia, seated in the dock, is being prosecuted for kidnapping, unlawful detention and murder. Alongside her in this case is Antonio Marquez Gomez, presented as a member of organised crime who has been on the run for several years and is the former partner of the victim. Their son Romain, born of that relationship, has joined the case as a civil party.
During her testimony, Nancy did not make eye contact with her mother, who listened visibly annoyed, shaking her head several times. The daughter reported specific memories: "I was at her place in Saint-Hilarion, in the Yvelines, when she said to a friend who was present that she was going to put a 'gogo boy' into a woman's arms."
Nancy added that she did not know at that moment that it was Rodolphe, the victim's last lover, from Chartres. She also reported that her mother had mentioned the need to find someone to look after children "the day when she was going to make someone disappear".
