On Friday 26 June, the court of Auch ruled on a narcotics case that shook the Gers department. The court imposed a sentence of seven years on the principal defendant, an individual going by the nickname "Moustik".
The investigation revealed a particularly resilient criminal organisation. Each time one of its members was arrested, the structure managed to reconstitute itself. It relied on recruits from amongst young people and vulnerable individuals to distribute various substances: cannabis, cocaine and ecstasy. The culmination of the case concerns the way in which the person in charge continued to exercise his authority despite being held in detention in Montauban. Through mobile devices illegally brought into the prison facility, he regulated internal conflicts, determined prices and supervised the activity of dealers.
His alleged deputy, alias "Lazer", received a sentence of five years' imprisonment and a fine of €10,000. The chief supplier, "Bison Indians", received four years. "Chniks", who had made a dramatic escape during a search, received three years. Two other accomplices, "Al Sakhil" and "Pilote 32", each received two years.
All were subject to a mutual restraining order lasting three years. The investigation resulted in the total dismantling of this organisation by the end of 2025.
