The Digne-les-Bains criminal court has convicted seven defendants — six men and one woman — for their involvement in a cocaine and cannabis network operating between Gap, Marseille, Manosque and the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.

On 11 June 2026, the criminal court of Digne-les-Bains handed down its judgment against seven defendants — one woman and six men — involved in a cocaine and cannabis trafficking operation. According to La Provence, this network operated between Gap, Marseille, Manosque and throughout the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department, from 2023 until December 2024.
The investigation was launched in May 2024, when a person being held against their will stole a mobile phone from one of their captors and handed it over to law enforcement. The examination of this device made it possible to dismantle the organisation.
In court, C.Z., a man in his seventies from Manosque, claimed to head the operation. Admitting to distributing cocaine purchased in Paris for an estimated monthly gain of between 2,000 and 2,500 euros, he attempted to clear his accomplices. CR, 62 years old, nicknamed "Bob la chatte", described himself as a user forced to resell to finance his own addiction. The couple GF, aged 34 and 45, housed the network's leader and benefited from his financial generosity. AM, 43 years old, a father and sports educator, served as a driver and transported the merchandise and funds concealed in socks. The two other defendants, TC, 44 years old, and TT, 22 years old, admitted to having taken part in deliveries.
The court rejected the charge of criminal association whilst recognising the guilt of all seven defendants. C.Z. received five years' imprisonment and a ban on contact and residence in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. CR was sentenced to four years' detention, of which twenty-four months with probation, accompanied by the same restrictions. The spouses GF respectively received twenty-four and eight months' imprisonment. AM was sentenced to twenty-four months' imprisonment, TC to eighteen months' imprisonment, and TT to six months' imprisonment with revocation of a previous three-month sentence. Only C.Z. remains in custody; the other six have been placed under electronic surveillance.
