Vendée: four individuals sanctioned for worldwide drugs network
The court of La Roche-sur-Yon ruled on 1 October 2025 on a case involving the importation of illicit products with an international dimension. Four defendants, with varying roles in the operation, have received criminal sanctions.
The investigation was triggered by the seizure of a postal package by customs officers at Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle. This parcel concealed 1.5 kilos of cannabis. Surveillance operations and searches led investigators to a resident of Deux-Sèvres, described as the instigator of the operation.
Accompanied by an accomplice residing in Charente-Maritime, he made regular trips to Spain to restock. Two other members of the group were apprehended during the investigation. The goods also originated from North America and the Italian peninsula.
Between 2023 and 2024, law enforcement recorded fifteen deliveries, totalling 31 kilos of drugs. The total value of the seized substances is estimated at 272,000 euros. The alleged leader denied all culpability, unlike his accomplices who admitted the facts. The court ultimately imposed a custodial sentence on each defendant.
